The milk in Uley Community Stores comes from Cotteswold Dairy in Tewkesbury which has been in operation since 1938 when Harry Workman purchased a Tewkesbury milk round from his brother-in-law.

In 1943 the business relocated to premises in Cotteswold Road, Tewkesbury and hence forth got a new name. In 1963 they moved again to Northway Lane and that’s where they are today.

Cotteswold Dairy now process about 190,000 litres of milk each day, collected from farms in the Tewkesbury area, and 75 years after Harry first became a milkman it is still a family-run business with his grandson, George, at the helm.
