Volunteering

Volunteer in the store

Volunteers are essential to the running our village shop and are vital to its success. Becoming a volunteer will not only benefit our community but also yourself – and it’s a great way to meet new people and gain new skills.

Everyone is welcome aged 18+. By volunteering you gain employability skills and excellent work experience. It’s a lot of fun too. Young people between 16 and 18 will also be considered – we accept those undertaking the Duke of Edinburgh awards for example.

There will be more than one volunteer working in the shop at each shift and full training will be given.

Shop tasks not only include serving customers, but replenishing shelves, checking dates, labelling prices, unpacking deliveries, merchandising, cleaning, ordering and training.
